Hot Stamping
The ideal tools for hot forming
Hot stamping is a process for hot forming of plates. Special feature: At hot stamping, a plate is heated to a temperature of about 950°C and it is cooled during forming in the tool.
One of Kind & Co.'s special fields is the manufacture of tools for hot stamping steel plates for the automobile industry. Innovative tool steels are used to meet with the demanding requirements of heat and wear resistance.
Ideally, we recommend using our premium grade CR7V-L with its strength of up to 56 HRC. To guarantee the best possible material properties in this field, this grade is manufactured using electro-slag-remelting (ESR). In some cases, it is also possible to use the RPU 1.2367 material which we carry as standard in our range of products.
