Hollow glassware, like bottles, containers and drinking glasses, for example, is manufactured using paste moulding, press and blow, suck and blow, or a combination of these processes. In different manufacturing processes and glass products, you need to use various tool steels that have different properties.

The most demanding product requirements need the highest levels of tool steel quality.

In addition to the chemical and mechanical properties of the tool steels that are used, high microstructure quality is crucial to the condition of the manufactured glass products.

We produce our steel grades for glass moulds using only electro-slag-remelted (ESR) material to meet demanding microstructure quality requirements.
