Die Forging
Demanding requirements – convincing services
Die forging is a production method in which the material to be processed is shaped between two tool sections. At least one side of the die has the negative of the shape of the final component. A differentiation is made between hammer forging and forge pressing processes that place different demands on the tool steels that have to be used.
Tailor-made solutions
We further develop our tool steels on a continuous basis. We produce tool steels at highest levels of quality by having the entire process chain in-house from melting, through re-melting by means of electro-slag-remelting (ESR), forging, heat treatment right up to machining. In addition to standard grades, we offer proprietary premium grades to satisfy the ever more demanding requirements of the forging industry.
You get your tools directly from a single source from steel production through to the ready machined dies in the highest Kind & Co. quality.
